The receptionist gave a quick response to ask how she could help us. The optician patiently checked an eyesight for my son in details. We had a good experience and also we were satisfied with your service.

Felt More Like a Sales Process Than Customer Care I had glasses from Specsavers Bradford a couple of years ago, and honestly I never had any issues with my vision or with their service. Unfortunately, I recently broke my frame, so on 14th May I decided to visit the Bracknell branch because my previous experience with Specsavers had been positive. I had also received several reminders about the £10 eye test offer. When I arrived, I clearly explained my situation to the lady at the till. I told her I did not have a spare pair of glasses and that it was very important for me to get replacement glasses either the same day or as quickly as possible. She initially told me they had lenses available, but they would first need to check my eyes before confirming how long it would take. I also explained that I was already an existing Specsavers customer, but despite this, I was still asked to go through the full process and wait for the eye test. After completing the final checks, I was then told they actually did not have the lenses available and that I would need to wait 5 days for my glasses. I was also informed that if I decided not to go ahead with the glasses, I would have to pay £30 for the eye test. At that point I didn’t really have many options because I was busy that day and it was the only free time I had to sort this out. During the appointment, they also introduced me to contact lenses and offered a 7 day free trial. I explained that I had never used contact lenses before, but they reassured me that they were easy to use and arranged another appointment for later that afternoon. I then selected a frame, although the range available was quite limited for my preference. There was a 2 for 1 offer, so I asked whether they had the same frame in different colours for the second pair, but I was told no. In the end, I paid £220. After payment, I asked again about the collection time for my glasses because earlier I had been told “5 days.” At that stage, the wording changed slightly to “we will try to get them ready within 5 days,” which honestly made me feel less confident about the timeline. Today is now the 5th day, and I still haven’t received any message or update from the Bracknell branch as they originally promised, so I’m still waiting for a reply regarding my glasses. I returned for the contact lens appointment 10 minutes early, but then had to wait around 25 minutes before being seen. After the test and brief demonstration on how to wear the lenses, I was only given two pairs of contact lenses and told to come back again after two days. I was also informed that I would need to sign up for a direct debit before they would provide the remaining trial lenses for the rest of the trial period. Overall, the experience felt much more sales focused rather than customer focused. I always thought all Specsavers branches operated consistently with the same customer care and offers, but this experience felt very different from the service I previously received. The way the contact lens trial was handled especially felt a bit like a sales setup — giving only two pairs initially and then requiring another visit and direct debit sign up to continue the trial. Combined with the changing timelines for my glasses and the lack of communication afterwards, it left me feeling disappointed and not fully satisfied with the service. I hope this feedback helps others make an informed decision before choosing Specsavers.

The staff were so very friendly and efficient and patient. The activity booklet to help Michaela through the process really helped her understand and remain regulated so very well. The examiner was very good with her and very approachable.

Great service at Specsavers Bracknell. Always welcomed with a smile, each test explained clearly and the optometrist Ashleen always very helpful and clearly explains everything. Shout out also to Jenna who is a real credit to the company and has helped me choose my last few pairs of glasses - she is very patient and always gives me ideas of new designs that I may like!

Oh, I am extremely satisfied with the service at Specsavers Bracknell! My life literally changed into “before” and “after.” Since my eyesight had already become quite poor, getting glasses made me experience life in a completely new way. Choosing Specsavers Bracknell was absolutely the right decision, and the eye examination and lens fitting experience were unforgettable. The whole process was very quick and easy to understand. The staff member explained all the available offers, examinations, and prices to me. Then my eyes were tested using special equipment, which was very useful and informative, and afterward I had an examination directly with the optometrist at the Specsavers Bracknell branch, which was extremely convenient. The doctor was professional, kind, and very easy to talk to. She quickly determined the prescription strength for each of my eyes and recommended the lenses that would suit me best. After that, I chose the frames, and I was pleasantly surprised because I got two pairs of glasses for the price of one. The entire process took no more than 30 minutes, yet the quality of service was outstanding. The glasses were ready within a few days, and they fit perfectly from the very first try-on. I would like to thank the whole team for this amazing experience!
